Scottish Junior Curling Championships

Curl Aberdeen is currently hosting the Scottish Junior Curling Championships from 23rd - 27th January 2013.

Hopefully you can make it in to watch some of the games. If not, we are trialling a  new camera system which will allow us to show games in the future. To view what is going on in the rink at the moment see here. Once you have accessed this page you will need to follow the instuctions which can be found here. Please be patient with the system as it takes time to install the system the first time you use it. Saving the page to your favourites will ensure you don't have to do this every time you go onto the site.

Live scoring is being provided by the Royal Caledonian Curling Club on their website here.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTING TO CURL ABERDEEN

For Windows XP Users please follow Steps 1-7

For Windows 7 Users please see the instructions on the bottom of this page first

then follow Steps 1-7

Step 1 – Navigate to web address (

http://89.104.225.158:81), please note not (www)

Step 2 – When presented with the web cam log in enter, curlabz in both the id &

password fields, make sure “remember my id & password” is ticked

Step 3 – Make sure common version is selected

Step 4 – Press Log In

Step 5 – A security setting at the top of your task bar will appear called “OCX Checker”

from Geovision, please install active x control

Step 6 – An internet security warning will pop up, when prompted press the “install”

button, this will download some software to your local c which may take up to 2-5

minutes to install (PLEASE BE PATIENT)

Step 7 – A second pop up security warning appears (live active x), run active x control,

once completed your camera view should appear in a pop up window

You will only be required to install these components once only, the next time you go

back to this same address your computer will have remembered these settings.

WINDOWS 7 INSTRUCTIONS

Please note that when using Windows 7 you may need to run internet explorer as

administrator to ensure these 2 controlled pieces of software will install successfully

To run as administrator simply right click on your internet explorer icon & from the drop

down menu, select run as administrator

This is required to overcome the updated security settings within Windows 7
