Strathcona Cup

On Wednesday 9th January 61 curlers are heading out to Canada to try and regain The Strathcona Cup so deservedly won by the 2003 tour, but reclaimed by the Canadian Tourists in 2009. The tourists, as we are known, will travel the length and breadth of Canada split into three tours known simply as The East Tour, The West Tour and The Central Tour with each tour comprising of 20 curlers playing in 5 rinks.

Curl Aberdeen has 4 representatives on the tour and we wish them every success on this trip of a life time.

Greig Henderson from Haddo House C.C. has the honor of captaining  the West Tour while fellow club member Craig Hamilton is part of the East Tour. Also on the East Tour is Barton Henderson from AWW C.C. who is skipping a rink. Richard Jachnik from Aberdeen Petroleum C.C. is part of the Central Tour.

Peter Malcolm a former member of Rubislaw C.C. is part of the Central Tour

They have an excellent web site and more information can be found there as well as daily reports http://strathconacuptour2013.co.uk/
