And we are go!

Season started on Monday with a bang with Super League A being played in the first session followed by C at 8.30pm. A few teams were obviously rusty with a couple of big scores on the board in these round of games, the less said about that the better. The tables will be up online once I have read Laura's instructions on how to do it. They are however up on the pin board right now in the club though for anyone wanting to have a look.

Wednesday afternoon saw the first of the Corporate Curling in, with four lanes of Subsea7 workers on the ice. While the other two lanes filled by Aberdeen University and their new batch of Uni Curlers for the season.

Thursday also saw the first round of games for the Winter section of the Thursday League begin. Great to see a big crowd on the ice at 10am.

If you haven't already been on the ice, come in for a practice, please phone in advance to check availability (you aren't guaranteed a lane to yourself). And we are working a new system with big signs, so you don't have to ask which lane you can go on.  So if there is a blue sign saying Lane Open, just pay at the bar and jump on and practice.

If this sign is up just go on the sheet and throw

Other news -  The ice installation video which was made for our members to see how the ice was built up has gone viral, with STV Aberdeen having it on their website, Curling Zone pushing it and a few other shares around Facebook and Retweets on Twitter.  If you haven't already seen click for the link.
