European Championships
Last nights game saw the men's team play Latvia, skipped by the brother of the skip of the Latvian team that was at Curl Aberdeen for a training camp earlier this year. The game looked to take a promising start, with the team taking a four in the second end, but Latvia fought back and won the game 8-6. Manager Tom Brewster made his first appearance of the tournament coming on to replace Billy Morton at the 7th end because of illness.

Scotland Men's latest game was live on Eurosport and Youtube. The games momentum swayed throughout the game until the 9th end when Baumann (German Skip) played a multiple-promote shot to score a four, out of nowhere, which put the Germans 7-4 up heading down the last. During the game though umpires were involved in a shout from John Penny when he called that the German team had burnt a stone (German final stone) as it was coming into the house. On the YouTube coverage we couldn't hear what the umpires were saying to the players but the stone stayed. This result leaves them on 2-3 after five games, next game is against the Czech Rep.

On a lighter note coach Greig Henderson was wearing a rather eye catching hat up in the stands, which caught a lot of attention.
