Henderson Bishop Qualifiers
Over the weekend the Ladies Centre held the qualifier for the Henderson Bishop, the finals this year are being held in Lockerbie. The Centre had 7 entries playing a knockout format. To encourage participation the losing teams dropped into a plate competition. The winners of the local qualifiers for the Henderson Bishop were Team Fiona Reiss. The team consited of Fioan at Skip, Hazel Keenan at third, Jan Johnson at second and at Lead Irene Duncan. They beat the Team of Liz Scatterty, Barbara Oag, Gun Rehmal & Liz Welsh. The winners of the plate was a team Skipped by Pamela Kelly, Jane Wilson, Rhona Thom & Hazel Cameron.

NBC Curling Night
Team Brewster were over in America playing in a promotional spiel playing as Team Scotland. Team Brewster won the men's part of the competition thanks to young Hammy McMillan nailing his draw shot challenge attempt and the opposition only hitting the 8 foot. Team Brewster did pretty well out there considering in a game against Japan they lost a 6.....(Tom now joins the elite in the office of losing a 6 in the last two weeks). This competition had a Ladies Team, a Mens Team and a Mixed Doubles Team out there competing. The Men's Team was Tom's Regular team, The Ladies was a mixture of players with Hannah Fleming, Sophie Jackson, Karina Aitken and Laura Ritchie and the Mixed Doubles team was Jen Dodds and Alasdair Schreiber.

Prizes are awarded for the overall winner, highest placed lady, highest placed junior and highest placed club (cumulative score of four players).
Thursday League
The sign up sheets are now on the notice board for the Thursday League - Spring. Entries are on an individual basis and teams will be drawn. Please sign up ASAP as the teams will be drawn mid December.
Afternoon League
The sign up sheet for Afternoon League - Spring is now on the noticeboard. Games will be played on Tuesdays at 1pm. Team entries are required and your games will be followed by Tea/Coffee, scones and pancakes!!
