Merry Christmas

Everyone at Curl Aberdeen wishes you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.



World Junior Championships 2018, Curl Aberdeen

It was announced on Tuesday 23rd December that the World Curling Federation had awarded Scotland with four international curling championships from 2016 to 2020,  with Aberdeen being picked to host the World Junior Championships. More on this can be found here.





Thursday League

The Thursday Winter league was competed for between September and December, we had 13 teams competing in this social league, each with a team of around 6. The League this winter was won by the  team skipped by Ken Anderson, the team included Mike Stephenson, Carolyn Johnston, Robin Bowden & Neva Haites. The Teams and fixtures were previously posted on the blog for the Spring Thursday League.  

 

Afternoon League

Here is the draw for the Spring Afternoon League. Thanks again for entering the second half, and as usual hope the teams that have entered enjoy their Scones and Cakes after their games for the forth coming competition.


Curl Aberdeen Team wins again 

Dumfries held the newest competition on the Champions Curling Tour at the weekend. Team Brewster and Team Edwards were both playing this competition, both reaching the Semi's. Tom went on to the final with Dave losing his Semi against Kyle Smith, but winning the 3/4 game, Tom went on to win against Team Smith, which takes their tally to 5 competition wins this season. This competition was streamed live over youtube with a number of games including games of Edwards and Brewster.

Upcoming Events

Perth Masters

Team Brewster and Team Edwards continue their preparations for their assault on the Scottish Championships with the Perth Masters (8 Jan - 11 Jan Dewars Ice Rink). This event has entries from all over the world including Canada, Korea, Japan, Norway, Switzerland.

Entries are still open to take part this competition, the sign up sheet for this competition is on the notice board.

Accord Aberdeen City Open
